Inspiration for my Prenatal soundbaths
Maybe you noticed that I have a completely new event-offering up - A mellow soundbath for all the mothers-to be!
It’s an event I have been so-so inspired to create after hearing and seeing the feedback and effects of so many pregnant women who have been to my weekly soundbaths in the last year. So I wanted to take a moment to reflect a little bit on that.
Pregnancy is such a beautiful, deeply meaningful and transformative time, almost a passage of rite to motherhood bringing along so many changes physically and emotionally, and therefore also a full spectrum of emotions.
TESTIMONIALS:
“I wish that every pregnant woman could experience the effects of the sound baths. The calm connection to the body was just what I needed, I felt a kind of “reset” and flushed out worrying thoughts and unbalance. It really made a positive impact at getting through my pregnancy 🌷💘
I had to deal with a fair share of extreme nausea and fatigue from day one of pregnancy, so having a soothing break was a highlight of my week. And so much fun feeling the little ones react to the different sounds 😄😍 baby E. loved the big gong, I remember.”

Soundbaths are an absolutely beautiful way to find some headspace, deep calm, relaxing, realignment and grounding which can be immensly helpful in dealing with overwhelm and stress any time there’s a lot happening in your life. The sound waves relax the nervous system in a deep level, help to deal with stress and anxiety and thanks to the physical sensations of sound vibrations in our bodies help us ‘come down from the head, back to the body’.
After seeing such positive impact sound meditation sessions had on all the beautiful pregnant women who kept on coming to the soundbaths I really wished to create something truly special for these ladies in such a transformative time in their lives. Something that could enable them to connect them with the person they are without the pregnant status, but lovingly and with gratitude welcome the new stage in their lives. Something that could bring calm and trust into everything that is to come, help connect with the growing human and soul inside them and give some tools to find calm post-pregnancy. Something really really beautiful and heartfelt - a true treat for the mum and mellow and soft tones for the growing ears within*.
Therefore I created a mellow sound bath relaxation for all the mothers-to be!
“This mellow and soothing sound bath is for you if you’re in the latter part of your pregnancy and would like to beautifully and intentionally mark this change of chapters, and welcome this new period in your life and the new life getting ready to enter into this world.
This is a chance to dive into deep and restoring relaxation in your physical and emotional body, to perhaps press the pause for a moment and really feel into, cherish, accept and celebrate the current stage of your life. We will take a moment to really tune into your own individual body and how you yourself are feeling right this moment. And we’ll connect with this growing life inside, feel into any emotions surrounding the transition and welcome whatever there is to come with an open heart.
During the event you’ll lie down in a few restorative poses with the warm support of pillows, blankets and bolsters. And you will be held in the safe pillow of the sounds created by various mellow and soothing instruments such as singing bowls, rain sticks, bells and chimes, which allow you to fully relax, allow your nervous system to find that calm, your happy-hormones to bring you to a place of gratitude and love.
I am so much looking forward to giving you this true treat, this time to reflect, really fill your own cup and prepare for the new!”
Update 2023:
After a lot of success and several heartfelt events I currently host the prenatal soundbaths around every second month - You can find the next scheduled events in my events page.

* There’s certainly some controversy regarding exposing pregnant women and growing fetuses to loud sounds. A fetus’ developing hearing apparatus is sensitive - so note that the instruments in these events are played in a mellow way and at safe decibel levels and are never in direct contact with the mother allowing the emphasis be more on relaxing. These events are designed for women in the last months of their pregnancy. In the first three months of pregnancy if might be a better idea to take it a bit more easy, especially as you might experience greater sensitivity to sound which might make the experience unpleasant during this time. Consult with your doctor if in doubt.
