FIND YOUR OWN FLOW
I’ll hold a mini-workshop ‘Find your flow’ this Saturday, 14. May 14.00-15.30 at @helthelt Yogastue and wanted to tell you more about the idea behind it and tell you why I think it’s necessary.
In addition to the broader values and off-the mat practices of yoga, an asana practice, at least for me, is to feel deeper, to notice the subtleties, to find what I need on that particular day to support however I am and with whatever I’m surrounded with on the time of stepping on my mat. It’s a practice for myself to express how I feel, to ‘move out’ what’s dwelling and stuck within and find a bit more ground, a bit more calm and most certainly feel much more like myself.
This topic of Finding Your Flow for a workshop is something I’ve been thinking of for a while. I love to guide students to move in their own way in a class and often find that this makes some of the students a bit cramped, uncomfortable and clueless about what to do, as it almost feels odd to ask ourselves what feel good instead of always waiting for the teacher to tell us what to do and feel.
Don’t get me wrong, It’s so absolutely beautiful to come together to a room to practice together under someone’s guidance and learn to know our bodies and safe ways of moving, but each of us will still have our own completely individual practice based on how we are and how our surroundings and recent actions have effected our physical and emotional bodies.
You are so welcome to join - as a HéLT member it’s free for you to come. Sign up at www.helthelt.dk
If you can’t make it this time let me know if you’d like to join this in a slightly longer workshop another date!
Love,
Kika
